Dental Care Centre Prosthodontic Solutions

Dental Care Centre offers a variety of prosthodontic solutions to address complex dental issues, save severely damaged teeth, or replace missing ones. Our prosthodontic solutions include:

1. Crowns

Dental crowns are prosthetic shells of restorative material used to cover the whole circumference of a tooth. The purpose of dental crowns is to reinforce a badly broken down or vulnerable tooth, such as after root canal treatment. Dental crowns may also be used to alter the shape of a malformed tooth when other conservative solutions fail.

2. Bridges
Dental bridges are fixed dental prosthetics used to replace a missing tooth or teeth. A dental bridge gains its support from covering the neighbouring teeth through dental crowns attached to an artificial tooth to bridge the gap of the extracted tooth.

3. Partial dentures

Partial dentures are removable prosthetics used to replace multiple missing teeth in a dental arch when the conditions are unfavourable for a fixed bridge. Partial dentures are formed of an acrylic base that holds the artificial teeth and includes support features such as clasps to increase their retention.

4. Complete dentures

Complete dentures are removable prosthetic appliances used to restore the function and aesthetic of a completely edentulous arch. Complete dentures are tissue-supported prostheses, gaining their retention from intimate contact with the edentulous ridge. Complete dentures face retention problems. This is why new advances were introduced, such as implant supported dentures to improve retention.

5. Dental implants

Dental implants are the award-winning choice for restoring missing teeth. Dental implants are titanium screws inserted inside the jaw bone to mimic the tooth root and act as a foundation for the restoration. It provides top durable and natural-looking results compared to other prosthetic solutions.

6. Prosthetic appliances

Prosthetic appliances are devices used to prevent damage to TMJ, teeth, and teeth supporting structures due to certain habits, such as a night guard to avoid the destructive effect of bruxism during sleep, sleep apnea devices to position the tongue in a proper position to maintain an open airway during sleep, and mouthguards to protect the teeth during practicing contact sports.
Prosthetic appliances may be constructed to improve the feeding ability of babies born with congenital malformations such as cleft palate until surgical correction.

Prosthodontics: Full Mouth Reconstruction and Rehabilitation

A full mouth reconstruction is a complete and thorough plan to address a variety of sophisticated and delicate treatments to restore the health, function, and form of the teeth.
Full mouth rehabilitation and reconstruction requires the cooperation and integration of various dental specialties and solutions to reach a comfortable function and satisfactory aesthetic for the patient.
A full mouth reconstruction procedure begins with a thorough dental examination to assess the patient’s oral health, including the periodontal tissue, jaw muscles, and the colour, shape, and size of the teeth. X-rays, photographs, and impressions will be recorded to create a thorough treatment plan with the help of different dental specialists.
Our experts begin with a thorough teeth cleaning before moving on to the infected or damaged tooth. The gums will also be checked for gum disease. Gum disease must be treated before the full mouth construction goes ahead.
This is followed by the reconstruction procedures according to the proposed plan. This includes dental fillings, extractions, and root canal treatment and ends with the prosthodontic phase to protect the existing teeth or replace the missing ones through various prosthetic solutions.
The treatment required to restore full mouth health varies for each patient. Extensive dental damage typically requires more therapy and longer duration, while minor issues can be resolved much more quickly.
The exact cost of reconstruction and rehabilitation treatment depends upon the treatment complexity. The number of techniques, the materials used, and the replacement solutions can all add up to the cost. Full mouth reconstruction costs in the UK can range from £20,000 to £50,000.

Prosthodontics is a dental specialty concerned with restoring missing teeth or oral structures and strengthening existing teeth to maintain the function and aesthetics of your teeth.

Prosthodontic treatment aims to strengthen vulnerable teeth, replace missing teeth, and prevent damage from existing habits or congenital malformations. Prosthodontic solutions can be fabricated from various materials to suit your needs.

Dental prostheses are fabricated to strengthen extensively damaged teeth, replace missing teeth, protect teeth from destructive defects from certain habits, and relieve TMJ pain.

Dental crowns are full coverage caps covering the whole crown of the tooth to strengthen the remaining tooth structure or adjust the shape of malformed teeth. Dental veneers cover only the front surface of the tooth to address minor aesthetic problems such as abnormal shape, position, or colour of a front tooth.

A missing tooth affects the masticatory function, which may lead to GIT problems, your smile, and self-confidence, in addition to interrupting the normal integrity of the teeth, which causes the neighbouring teeth to tilt in the edentulous area, which may affect their periodontal health.

Dental implants are the top solution to restore missing teeth. They offer durable and natural looking restorations. Bridges replace missing teeth as a fixed restoration supported by the neighbouring natural teeth. Removable prosthesis, either partial or complete, are used to replace multiple missing teeth or when other prosthetic solutions cannot be used.

Our expert prosthodontics will discuss with you the special care instructions regarding every type of prosthesis. Fixed prostheses such as crowns and bridges are cared for as you do for your natural teeth through daily brushing and flossing. Some additional tools, such as interdental brushes, may be beneficial to cleaning below dental bridges. Regarding removable appliances, they are thoroughly cleaned and stored according to specific instructions when you are not using them.

Full mouth rehabilitation is a comprehensive treatment plan constructed through the integration of various dental specialties and dental solutions to restore oral well-being.

The duration to complete a prosthodontic treatment is different according to the prosthetic solutions used. Dental crowns and bridges require around two visits to be completed, while dental implants require around 3-4 months. Full mouth rehabilitation duration depends on the number of solutions and specialties included in the plan.

The cost of a dental prosthesis varies according to many factors, including the treatment itself and the material of fabrication. During your consultation visit, our expert prosthodontists will explain all suitable solutions for your case and their costs. We offer comfortable payment plans to suit your needs.

I would really recommend this Dental Practice. Dr Kolar is a very attentive dentist who cares about the you as a person as well as about the health of your teeth and gums. He takes time to explain the processes he is leading you through, explains how your dental health has progressed over time and encourages you to take care of your teeth. For the first time in my life I look forward to coming to the dentist!

Toby R.

I have been registered at this dental practice now, for just over 15 years. Throughout that whole period, I have been lucky enough to have been looked after by the wonderful, and patient, Dr Prasad. He has covered many procedures in my mouth, from extraction, and root canal, right up to the most recent procedure, Composite bonding of my broken two front teeth. Do not hesitate to register at this practise, as you will be looked after with care and consideration.

Thank you Dr Prasao

Very friendly

During the lockdown period I was able to see Dr Irfan for a dental emergency I had. I’m so grateful that they have been available throughout this. Gillian the practice manager contacted me and offered me an appointment the same day. I am a long standing patient at this practice and cannot thank them enough for great service they have provided to me throughout the years. Great dentist, staff and management. Thank you all so much.

Susan L.

The Dental Care Center has been an excellent dentist surgery that I have been attending as a patient for many years. When I was young I didn’t have a pleasant experience with my local dentist on more than one occasion. I found the dentist at new cross dental care center very reassuring and comforting. The management and reception were also very welcoming.

Stewart S.

Really efficient service and friendly helpful staff, clean and fresh environment

Stephanie P.

Great desk staff and Dentists. Excellent with young children.

Spencer M.

Brilliant service from Dr Mansi Patel – she ensured I was well informed regarding my dental issues and spent a whole consultation discussing my dental history and reviewing my previous scans. She provided the means to communicate out of hours, if I had any further queries. She demonstrated empathy and encouraged collaborative decision making throughout. This is a refreshing approach, speaking from someone who’s a healthcare professional. Would recommend!

Sonia M.

I had a wonderful experience at Dental Care Centre. Dr Mani Nasir is fantastic, he listened to me, had my best interests at heart and delivered excellent and professional care. Dr Mani & his nurse Kawtar are an amazing team! I also felt very safe with the measures the practice has put in place in light of covid-19. Thank you!
